The Ganaraska Hiking Trail Wilderness Section is very rugged and challenging. It incorporates Maps 12, 13, 14, 15 of the 2006 Edition of the Ganaraska Hiking Trail Guidebook and generally covers from Sadowa*, Ontario at the western edge through to Moore Falls, Ontario at the eastern edge. Much of this section runs through the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park.

colinbriggs Trail needs a touch of maintenance 2 Sep 19 2011, 10:37 AM EDT by colinbriggs

Between Scrabble mountain and Anson mountain the trail has become very overgrown this summer. We made our way through but some of the growth made finding the trail at one point pretty difficult. Keep an eye out when travelling that section!

MariaSG Ragged Rapids Loop 1 Aug 15 2011, 4:23 PM EDT by hikertom

Four of us started off on the Ragged Rapids Loop today despite an initial miserable weather forecast. The trail was extremely well blazed and the scenery beautiful. The rain held off until our lunch stop past Black Fly Junction, at which the 5th member of our group chanced upon us after he finished having his lunch a few hundred meters away! The road in was just graded last week and in good condition, and the black flies were merely annoying at times but not as bad as we had expected. We had a great hike and two of us completed our Wilderness end-to-end!
